There are good things happening in the DV arena also, Kansas City, MO has received a grant from the federal government to provide training for all levels of the criminal justice system that deal with DV cases starting with the 911 call reporting right up to the top. The Green Bay Packers football team has made a promise along with Verizon Wireless to provide $25 for each point that the Packers score this year. That money will then go various DV programs throughout the state of Wisconsin. Verizon Wireless is also teaming up with the Eagles to collect used cell phones to use for Domestic Violence victims.
